Roz  The ChicSheet Blog is Taking a Summertime Siesta but Coming Back Better Than Ever! So, if you have been paying close attention, you may have noticed that you haven't seen as many postings from The ChicSheet, of late. Well, here's the reason why. The ChicSheet Blog is about to have a whole NEW LOOK and we're so excited to tell our friends all about it. After all, who is to say that a little nip n tuck isn't what we all need, so that is exactly what you'll see when the new version of TCS debuts next month. Most of the same content will be there but in a tighter, cleaner and updated format. There will also be many new extras as well. The transition is on us, so we're taking a brief summertime siesta from blogging for a few weeks to focus on getting everything just perfect! We'll be back soon to show off our new and improved look to all. Until then there are a few things you should know about that are coming.....
*TCS will be hosting a speaker series with Tony's Restaurant that features nationally acclaimed speaker, Karen McCullough. Here are some dates and topics to mark on your calendars for these not-to-be-missed events.
**Sept. 1, lunch at Tony's; titled, Attract, Engage, and Profit from the Next Generation. Learn what makes each of our generations tick and how we must learn to best work together; a great series for women in business or for Mom's and their Gen. X or Y children, bring them along, she's hilarious!
**Sept. 29, wine and lite bites evening at Tony's; Topic: Social Media in Business
**Nov. 30, wine and lite bites evening at Tony's; Karen talks about her fascinating new book, The Seven Women's Project, with a fashion accessorizing presentation by yours truly featuring accessories from a bientot, on how accessories can change your basic look; in this case, 7 different ways. This Accessories trend presentation will be very of the moment and just in time for holiday shopping ideas!
*Stay tuned for an email blast/save the date announcement coming your way soon with lots of info on how you can get your tickets to these very special events. You'll have to act quickly as Karen is so insightful and so entertaining that her speaking engagements always sell out.
*Fall Trend info is on it's way, so as soon as you finish your last days of summer sale purchasing, get ready to hear about all of the exciting new looks for Fall 2010 available at your local stores and fashion boutiques.

If you remember the Cow Parade of years past, the concept is the same. Many of our town's brightest artists have joined forces and created their "Heart", an expression of their invidivual style, to assist AHA in increasing awareness of Heart Disease and it's prevention in the community. These Hearts will make one more stop to Highland Village before landing in their permanent homes around the city.
